Edward J. Rosinus

d. September 30, 2017

Ned was a fun, funny, thoughtful and sometimes silly husband and companion, adored by his wife, Barrie Burlingame, and his sisters Alison Brown and Pam Rosinus. He was cherished by his brother, Ted Armstrong, Ted's family (see below) and many friends. He will be sorely missed by all of us (well, except for the borrowing [stealing] my tools part). Always ready with a bit of wit and humor ("You can take the Ned out of kindergarten, but you can't take the kindergarten out of Ned".—Todd Armstrong), Ned was a loyal friend who would gladly extend himself if needed. He was an avid Yankees fan (go Yankees), a golfer and a Saratoga aficionado. He particularly enjoyed Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, Carl Hiaasen and Tim Dorsey novels. There are no words to express my heartfelt gratitude to Michael, Ruth and Josie for their sustained support throughout. Special mention goes to Ned's German Shepherd, Heidi, who just loved him and misses him terribly. I know because she now deigns to sleep with me. From the Armstrong family: Todd, Sarah, Wendy and Melissa I received word about Ned on Saturday, the day of my nephew's wedding. We were all celebrating Justin's marriage in beautiful Colorado, pretty much the whole family together. When we toasted our dear Uncle, we did so not with a weighty sadness but with humor and appreciation. Everyone raised their glasses for Ned recognizing his spirit and levity. I had a big smile on my face; Ned was just wonderfully outrageous. For those of us who knew him better than most, we all agreed, we could use a lot more people like Ned and that we were glad to have known him. We loved him. (Todd) * * * Ned was more than just an uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was a dear friend. He was a friend who made us laugh so very much. He was in fact hysterically funny at times. Ned also always showed so much interest in what we were all doing as well as what was going on in the lives of his great nieces and nephews. He will live on in the hearts of his family every single day. (Sarah) * * * We are all so sad to have lost Ned. He certainly was a bright spot in my life, and I will miss him terribly. *He possessed an enormous sense of humor. He could make me laugh until I cried. *He had a talent for "speaking in other languages that no one else knew." *He cared deeply for those he loved. Never forgot a birthday. *We called him "Neeeeaaadd!" He called me WA. *He kept the family supplied with yummy cheeses! (Wendy) * * * Beautifully funny. (Melissa)
