Eileen Purdy

Eileen J. Yoeckel Purdy, 87, passed away on Monday, May 21 at Albany Medical Center after a short illness. Eileen is survived by her husband, Calvin, a sister and brother both of Florida and their beloved dog, Mo. The Purdys became residents of Windham/Ashland several years ago after retiring and moving from New Jersey. Eileen is most noted for her work as a Cornell Graduate Master Gardner. Also Eileen was a great addition to the community, always the first to help anyone in need. She loved life to the fullest. A funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday, May 30th at 9:30 am at St. Theresa RC Church in Windham followed by a reception in the church hall. Mr Purdy .. Im just so very sorry for your loss. Just recently I stumbled upon some old photos from our days today when I was a youngster and then when my kids were young. You & Eileen were very much a part of our lives with lasting loving memories of our times together. Its been so many years since and I have always wanted to try and find you both. Im just so sad though that this time attempted Ive learned now that Mrs Purdy has passed. I hope she knew just how much I appreciated her friendship and her love towards me and my family.
