Joan Marie Fancher
Joan Marie Fancher, 62 of Conesville, NY passed away on Monday July 25, 2016 at The Hospice Inn at St Peter's Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born April 11, 1954 in Kingston, NY to Minnie (Soule) Kirk and Jack Ostrander both of whom are deceased. Joan is survived by her husband of 40 years Stanley J Fancher Jr, her daughter Stacy Fancher of Hood River OR, her sons Stanley John (Michelle) Fancher III of Ashland NY, and Jesse Fancher of Gilboa NY, her sisters Jacquiline (Leonard) Haines of Prattsville NY, Elfrieda (Harold) Benjamin of Windham NY, and brother Wayne Bailey of Jefferson NY. Joan was a beloved Grandmother to Morgan and Hunter Fancher as well as a cherished Aunt to several nieces and nephews. Joan was an active member of the Conesville Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Joan was a hard worker that never turned down a friend or family member in need. In lieu of flowers please send a donation the Conesville Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary, 1292 State Route 990V, Gilboa NY 12076, and/or Community Hospice, 71 Liberty St, Catskill NY 12414 Calling hours are Thursday July 28th from 5PM to 9PM at the Decker Funeral Home. Joan was a wonderful , giving person. She helped take care od my mom and I had the honor of helping with her at times... She will be greatly missed

Rest peacefully sweet cousin. How blessed we are to have you as part of our family. Watch over that man of yours and your babies & grandbabies.
