I spent my summers in Westerlo, NY, with my aunt, Doris Bushnell (married to Mike Bushnell), and cousins, Patty Picardi (formerly married to Joe Picardi) and Mary Bushnell (married to Elbridge - Juney), and the family. I have fond memories of "Johnnie" and all of his sisters and many brothers. We went hunting together, chopped wood and brought in the hay, spent the night in the old (haunted) farmhouse off Cole Hill Road, and worked for my Uncle Al's furniture moving company. I haven't been back there for years, but my heart is still in Berne County, and I will always remember my childhood days there in that special place.

knowing my dad is in a better place has brought much comfort to me, also knowing there were so many people that cared so much and were there to say goodbye to him was truly amazing. i would like to say thank you to my mom, sisters and brother for making this just a little easier by all of us being there for each other. and another thank you to all family members and friends who were there not only for my dad but for us kids and our mom too. thank you dad for being the greatest man and we miss you.
