John P. Heidinger

Altamont- John Heidinger-Born- September 22, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Rose and Peter Heidinger, US Marine from 1957-1961- married the love of his life, Mary. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. He worked for NY Telephone-Nynex-Verizon for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing and golf with his friends but he was most known for his love of trains. He had an outdoor railroad in the backyard. The “Engineer “of his life was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He belonged to Full Gospel Mens Fellowship for many years.He is survived by-4 children, John and his wife Krista, Eric and his wife Jean, his daughter Jennifer and son Bradford, his 2 beautiful grandchildren, Jared and Elaina, his brother Peter Heidinger and his wife Karen and many nieces and nephews. We wish to extend a special thank you for the kindness and care given to John by our Lady of Mercy Life Center 's entire staff. Calling hours will be at Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, NY on Friday Jan. 3, 2014 from 5-7:30 pm with a funeral service to follow.
