Justine R. O'Mahoney

Justine R. O'Mahoney August 24,1923-March 21,2016 Justine O'Mahoney lived the first part of her life in Brooklyn, New York. She was the only child of John and Rosalia Milici. She and her late husband, Joseph M. O'Mahoney, enjoyed their summer visits to the Catskills so much they became permanent residents of Maplecrest thirty three years ago. She is survived by her six children: RoseMarie and husband Howard Drum, Joan O'Mahoney, Patricia and husband Ron Damon, Peter and wife MaryBeth O'Mahoney, Ellen O'Mahoney Mudge and Michael O'Mahoney. Justine was also the proud grandmother of Thomas Drum and wife Elizabeth, Robert Drum and wife Heather, Laura Jaeger, Mike Drum and wife Shelly and the late Christopher Drum, Daniel O'Mahoney-Schwartz, Steven O'Mahoney-Schwartz and wife Jessica, Gabrielle Wasserstein and Keith O'Mahoney. She was also the loving great-grandmother to Alyssa and Brianna Jaeger, Patrick, Devin and Catie Drum, Kali, Justine and Emma Drum and Michael O'Mahoney-Schwartz. Justine will be missed by her family and friends who appreciated her kind and loving nature. We are grateful for the many years she was with us. Joan, As you can imagine, my heart goes out to you. One of my favorite stories about your mother is about how she handled the door-to-door missionaries. "Oh, you want to talk about God? I love to talk about God. But first, let's all drop to our knees and say the rosary." I bet they practically left skid marks. This cracked me up when I first heard it and it still does. She raised a great family, but kept a wonderful sense of humor-not easy to do. I'm glad that she went to her reward during Holy Week. May your memories be not only many, but also warm. Affectionately, Monica
