Guestbook

To Ken's family. I went on line to look him up and was deeply saddened to read of his passing, I skated with Kenney when he was living in Norwalk, CT for a year. He was a tremendous speed skater and I was always in awe of him the way he could jump barrels. Remember he used to perform that at the old Boston Garden at the Silver Skates. He was just tremendous and will be missed by those who had the opportunity to know him. Sincerest late condolences, Erik R. Fiedler Huntington, CT

I knew Kenny when I was a young boy in Lake Placid. He and his father Leo tried to teach me to barrel jump. I jumped two barrels and fell. That was it for me. I was a hockey player and later in life played against Kenny I think at a rink in Long Island? It has been awhile. He will be dearly missed. My sympathies to his family. For those of us old enough to remember Kenny he is somewhat of a legend in Lake Placid. great guy.

Poppa even though we all lost you so suddenly you will always be in our hearts and memories forever. I will never forget all of my softball games you went to, cheering me on and cheering my teammates on. I will never forget the softball game you put little rocks into an empty water bottle to use as a rattle similar to a cow bell. At one point you stuck the bottle into the back of your hat and every time you turned your head the rocks made a rattle noise. I could never be more grateful for all the help you've given me and how kind, loving and caring you've been as a grandfather. You've been to every birthday dinner, every holiday and I still have the magazine subscription you bought me for Christmas a few years ago. Poppa you will always be a part of my life and in my heart and I hope to feel you cheering me on at my games. I love you so much Poppa thank you for being the person and grandfather you were to me I will never forget you.

To Kenny's family- I grew up with Kenny in Lake Placid- I still have some pictures of him around somewhere. Lost touch with him until 2007 when he went to our class reunion party at Jerry Stracks house. Was good seeing him again and found out we were almost neighbors here in Guilderland with grandkids. Please know my prayers and thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time Nancy VanBuren

LeBel family, I worked closely with Ken at the Beacon Hill ice rink and had the greatest relationship with him. He could do anything and always with no fuss. My daughter spent several summers skating at Lake Placid so we had lots of sharing of his times there and he was always so interested in what she was doing. She's now married with twin little boys. He was the best ever at BHC. So sorry for your loss - sounds like he was a terrific dad and grandad. BJ Coghan

Papa,I sit here with an extremely heavy heart, I can't begin to express my saddness and how much I will miss you. I will miss coming home and seeing treats on the counter for the girls, I will miss your 2 minute drop ins..then say "Gotta go, have a busy day" which we all thought was funny, I will miss our conversations about who knows what, I will miss you being at the girls sporting events. I will miss the 5 minute voice messages telling us "everything" you were doing. Papa you mean the world to me and I am so lucky to have had you be such a huge part of my life. I am grateful to have had such a special relationship with you. Thank you for being our taxi driver for the girls, coming over last minute to babysit, Zamboni's vacation resort. Papa, I will never forget you, please watch over me and my family...Kippy, Sammie, Sadie, Maddie, Kendra, & Zamboni, and keep them safe. Rest in Peace Papa, Love you, Jooeeeyyyyyyyyy! xox
