Ralph Wendell Tygert

Schenectady- R. Wendell Tygert, 80, of Schenectady passed away at home June 12, 2009 after a long illness. Wendell owned Tygert Enterprises formally Wendell's Floor Service until he retired in 1991. He was a former member and Commissioner of the Pine Grove Fire Dept. He especially enjoyed his camp on Sacandaga Lake. Wendell and Dorothy spent many happy years traveling in their RV and enjoying their winter home in Florida. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy, son Alan (Pam) Tygert of Duanesburg, son Kent (Cindy) Tygert of Princetown and daughter Carol Fazeli (fianc Jim Bailey) of Atlanta GA.; eight grandchildren, Mark Tygert, Teresa (Tim) Kneezel, Beth (Tim) Neild, Taraneh Fazeli, Joshua Fazeli, Jennifer (Adam) Greer, Christina Tygert and Keith Tygert; three great grandchildren, Joanna, Arden and Marshall and several nieces and nephews. Wendell was predeceased by his mother and father, Willard and Emma, brothers Robert and Raymond and sisters Mildred Mericle, Marion Mott and Marjorie Van Wormer. A funeral service will be conducted at 11AM on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. Friends may call prior from 10-11AM. An inurnment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland.
