Thomas Pickard

Albany- Thomas Pickard, 66, passed away in his sleep on February 6, 2014. He was born on August 23, 1947 to the late Everett and Ruth Pickard. Tom graduated in 1965 from Guilderland High School. He joined the Air Force in 1966 serving his country for eight years. For the last nineteen years he worked for Albany Medical Center, retiring after his 65th birthday. Tom is survived by his nephew Donald (Maryanne) Pickard and their daughter Alyssa and his dear friends Ventura Nico (Peggy) Acevedo. He was predeceased by his brother Victor Pickard. Friends and family are invited to calling hours on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5-7PMat Fredendall Funeral Home 199 Main Street, Altamont, NY. Just a Note to say how sad I was to receive the news of Tommy's passing He and I were early grade school friends and his Brother Victor was a friend of my brothers His Mom was soo sweet to my Mom they were friends and she would always point out the Pickard home in Altamont at the end of Pangburn Rd by the Bosie and down from Gun Club Road by Spadero's at the "cold" end of my paper route Tommy joined the Air Force essentially at the same time Jimmy, ChucK Richard's and I joined the Navy and Joey Gaggliotti joined the Army and Bill Burke and Fred Crounse joined the Airforce then too we all had great times in Altamont I know you are at Peace now Bye Tommy
