Anne R. Connolly

Connolly, Anne Rouget of Altamont, NY, 62, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 6, 2013. She was born in Nyack, NY, to her late parents Robert and Regina (Schlachter) Connolly, and was brought up in Nanuet. After graduating from Nanuet High School in 1969, Anne moved to Albany to attend the University at Albany, where she received her degree in accounting. Anne started her career in public accounting, earned her CPA certification, and spent many decades in financially related positions such as healthcare and research. For the last 15 years of her career, Anne worked for the Research Foundation for SUNY as the Senior Director of Sponsored Programs Administration. Anne was an active member of the National Council of Research Administrators and was appointed to NCURAs Peer Review Committee in 2007. Anne was also a member of Toastmasters and was involved in volunteering for Equinox in Albany. She was a communicant and lector of St. Lucy's Church in Altamont, as well as being very involved in the religious education program. Anne loved to garden, scrapbook, and traveled all over the world. She is survived by her beloved and only daughter, Christina M. Connolly of San Francisco, CA, dedicated companion Ron Botelho, four siblings, aunt and uncle, many nieces and nephews, godchildren Robert W. Connolly, John and Catherine VanGarderen, and many lifelong friends. Services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave, Albany, NY 12203. Calling hours are from 11am–1pm with a mass following at 1pm.
