August "Jeff" Landauer

Landauer, August “Jeff”

Knox- August “Jeff” Landauer passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2022. Son of the late Joseph and Shirley Landauer. Jeff was the loving father of Justin T. (Lisa) Landauer.
Jeff lived his life with a drive to excel in whatever he set his mind to. He was a valued mentor to all his family and friends. Jeff was a 1970 graduate of Berne-Knox -Westerlo High School. He loved his family, farming and flying his plane from his own runway at home. He also loved driving his personally restored Ford Model A antique vehicles. Jeff enjoyed his many friends with whom he shared many of his passions. Working several jobs during his lifetime from construction to highway superintendent, his favorite job was tending to his family farm and raising cattle.
In addition to his son Justin and daughter -in-law Lisa, Jeff is proud grandfather of Cadan Landauer; beloved brother of Judi Stinson, Jackie (Clyde) Hallock; his brother James (Laura) Landauer; sister-in-law Bonnie Landauer and his uncle David (Dianne) Schanz. Jeff is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Jeff was the former husband of Lona Landauer and Debbie Landauer, special friend of Sheila and Carol. In addition to his parents Jeff was predeceased by his beloved son Jason Landauer and his brothers Thomas, Joel and John Landauer. Jeff would not want anyone to mourn his passing but to merely remember him with a smile, remembering the things he did in life to brighten up someone else’s life.
Family and friends may call at the Rock Road Chapel 96 Rock Road Berne N.Y. on Saturday January 29, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A service will be held for family and close friends following visitation. In lieu of flowers donations to Adirondack Model A Club would be appreciated. Online condolences at Fredendallfuneralhome.com

Always enjoyed our conversations when I would run into you at Hannaford. And I remember what fun you were in grade school. 😊. You served the town well and always had my vote! Condolences to the Landauer family .

Today we had to say goodbye to one of the greatest men I've ever known . Kind hearted , funny and always a straight shooter . I don't know if I have ever respected anyone more . I have too many fond memories to just pick one so I'll just say that I could not be more proud to call you cadans grandpa .
You will greatly missed and always be remembered in our hearts .

Jeff we always had great talks of the past. Your family and mine going back to god knows when. 💕. The memory's with you, "I knew you when you were in your moms belly", stopping by to say hi when you saw that Bill and I were home and joining us for dinner on the deck. Oh how we will miss these times.
To the family, our heartfelt Condolences.
