Benjamin Stephen Giles

Benjamin Stephen Giles passed away on October 24, 2026. Born on October 19, 1978, in Caribou, Maine, and raised in Clarksville, New York, Ben was a deeply loved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose humor, generosity, and adventurous spirit touched countless lives.

An expert craftsman skilled in many trades, Ben brought creativity and care to the work of his hands. He loved traveling the world and embraced the people and cultures he encountered with such ease that it seemed he spoke every language. Wherever he went, friendship and laughter were sure to follow.

Ben felt most at home in nature. An avid outdoors man, he took every opportunity to hunt, fish, and spend time surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors. He was also musically talented, another expression of his creativity and spirit. Above all, he loved his family more than anything.

A believer in Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, Ben had a fierce passion for sharing his faith with anyone who would listen. He was one of the funniest people you could ever meet, with a gift for bringing laughter to almost any situation.

Ben is survived by his beloved children, Grant and London Giles; his parents, Stephen and Meredith Giles; his sister Andrea Holt and her husband, Jesse, and their children, Ethan, Gabriel, and Olivia; his sister Heather Bitsaktsis and her husband, Constantine, and their children, Isabella and Sophia; his brother Judah Giles and his wife, Erica, and their children, Levi and Layla; his sister Jordan Landry and her husband, Eric, and their children, Penelope and Eli; his sister Anna Young; and his two sweet pups, Lola and Ari.

Ben leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, and love. His family will carry his memory with them always.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Ben on Friday, November 6, 2026 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Moriah Ministries, 262 Route 9W Glenmont. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation in the church at 11am. Burial will be in Onesquethaw Cemetery, Feura Bush. Following the burial, all are welcome to return to Mt. Moriah Ministries for a celebration of Ben's life.
