Beverly J. Simmons

East Berne- Beverly (Kelsch) Simmons, age 60, died peacefully Aug 7, 2014 following a long illness. She was born in Albany NY, but lived most of her life "On the Hill". Beverly was one of nine children. She grew up in Knox NY and graduated from Berne Knox Westerlo Central School. She worked for State Photo, as a photo processor, Cowell and LaBell as a baker and for Guilderland Central School District as a high school monitor. She loved to cook, to have BBQ's and picnics, to have friends over for beer & bull sessions. Bev like to think of herself as a "tough broad' and in her last years she needed to be. She was predeceased by her husband Harry (Butch) Simmons her parents, Marvin and Alice Kelsch and her brother Frank Kelsch. She is survived by their daughter Kelcii Simmons (Brendon Orvitt"), brothers Skip (Sandy) Kelsch, and Thomas Kelsch Sisters Noreen (Peter) Jorgensen, Eva (Terry) Lounsbury, Kathy (Bill) Bishop, Carolyn Kelsch, Elizabeth (Kalmon) Dunston and many nieces and nephews A memorial service will be conducted at Fredendall Funeral Home 199 Main St. Altamont on Friday Aug 15th at 7pm. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 pm.
