Christine L. Tice

April 18, 1966 — July 23, 2025

Altamont

In loving memory of Christine Tice, April 18, 1966 - July 23, 2025.

With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Christine (Condit) Tice. A beloved wife, cherished mother and grandma who left us far too soon.

Born in Schenectady on April 18, 1966, to Margaret (Ward) Button and Norman Condit Jr., and lovingly raised by her mother and step-father Arthur Button. Chris was the treasured wife of 38 years to Gregory Tice, proud mother of her two daughters; Jessica (Tyler) Foster and Leanna (Tim) Tice, deeply adored Nana of Owen and Adeline. She was a devoted sister to Katey Ashworth and Rebecca Burnside and her brother Jeremy Condit, and a beloved sister-in-law, aunt, and "second mom" to many nieces and nephews, who all felt the warmth of her love and presence. Her family was the center of her world, and she showed her love for them in everything she did.

She worked for many years as a teacher's assistant in the Guilderland School District, where she brought understanding , humor, and compassion to every student she worked with.

She found great joy in tracing her family's history, spending countless hours researching her ancestors and their stories. Chris also had a deep love for photography and found joy in capturing meaningful moments of her loved ones with her camera. For her, it was a way to express love and preserve memories.

Though she faced years of chronic illness she never let her struggles, define her and never once asked to be the center of attention. She didn't want to be made a big deal, but she had a remarkable way of making everyone else feel special, seen and deeply loved.

A true social butterfly, Chris lit up every room she entered. Her warmth, laughter, and magnetic personality made friends feel like family. She brought people together with her kindness, her open heart, and her one-of-a-kind sense of style - always done up with flair, sparkle, and confidence that was uniquely her. She enjoyed make up and always had a box of collected beauty and cosmetic samples she was delighted to share with her nieces and other family members.

She adored butterflies - symbols of beauty, freedom, and transformation. It feels only fitting that now, she is free as one, her spirit soaring gently and gracefully above us all.

Though our hearts ache with her absence, we find comfort in the love she gave so freely and the unforgettable memories she leaves behind. Her light will live on in those who knew and loved her.

At Christine's request, all services were held privately.
