David C. Gerke

David Gerke 56, passed away peacefully at home on October 28th, 2023.

David was born the son of Jerome F Gerke and Judith (Butler) Gerke. David is survived by his loving wife, Grace (Satalino) Gerke, son Jonathan.Jerome Gerke, daughter Eve Victoria Gerke, his brother Jerry and sister-in-law Lisa,father-in-law Richard Satalino, Brother-in-law Tony (Koren) Satalino nieces Jenna Malone (Timothy), Vanessa (Farrel) Salisbury, and Taylor Grace Seiberg (Satalino) nephews Austin Mamone and Tyler Mamone.

David is predeceased by his mother-in-law Ellen Satalino.

David was a network engineer at Micro Focus. He maintained and serviced the computer network for the VA Hospitals and various companies. David was an accomplished musician, singer, and songwriter for many bands since he was a teenager. David has said, "Sometimes putting your heart and soul into music....is exactly what you need to do." Davids greatest joys in life was spending time with his family at camp or on the beach. Everyone that knew David appreciated his sense of humor and loved him for his kindness.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life at Jerry and Lisa's on November 11th between 2:00pm-4:00pm at 291 County Route 7, Nassau NY.
