Delanson- Edward F. Kleinke, II, 92, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 26, 2009. He was born on March 11, 1917 in Bethlehem, NY. He owned and operated a farm on Krumkill Road in the town of New Scotland for over 50 years. He was the Director of Soil and Water Conservation in Albany County for 13 years. He was a Grange member since 1932, presently a member of the Foxenkill Grange and Pomona. He was a past member of Albany County Farm Bureau. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Berne, NY. Edward will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and humor; as well as his love for a weekly pinochle game. He is survived by his three daughters, Carol (Jim) Hayes of Ballentine, Montana, Joan (Patrick) Willsey of Smyrna, Delaware, and Diane (Larry) Dillenbeck of Duanesburg, NY; 6 grandchildren Patricia Anderson, Renee Rhine, Steven and Kevin Willsey, Brian and Gary Dillenbeck; 7 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is predeaseasd by his wife of over 50 years L. Pauline Kleinke. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont, followed by an interment in Memory's Garden Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 4 PM to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, #301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
