Elizabeth J. Shedina

KNOX- Elizabeth J. (nee Kolb) Shedina died on July 24, 2014, she was 91. She was born in Albany, on September 26, 1922, the daughter of the late C. Burton and Emma (nee Livingston) Kolb. Elizabeth grew up in Coeymans. She graduated from Coeymans High School and St. Margaret's Center for Children of Albany. She worked as a child technician in private homes and was a bookkeeper for both State Bank and Key Bank in Albany. She married Stephen F. Shedina in 1950, and moved to Knox. She was a member of the Knox Reformed Church and the Hilltown Seniors. She is survived by her daughters, Lydia J. Ogaard of Knox and Marie A. Simon of Rockport, Texas; her grandchildren, Stephen Ogaard, Michael (Mandi) Ogaard, Erica (Scott) Kirsch, Diana Ogaard, Wesley (Susan) Simon, Stephanie (Justin) Halpin and Kevin (Samantha) Simon; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Nathan Halpin, Alexander and Adeline Ogaard and Henry Simon. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen F. Shedina in 2009; her son, Stephen F. Shedina Jr.; her sons-in-law, Elmer Ogaard and Larry Simon; brothers, Burton, Charles, Francis, and Donald Kolb and her sister-in-law, Barbara Kolb. Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, August 4, 2014 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Knox Reformed Church, Rt 156, Knox, with a funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Interment at the Knox Cemetery with a luncheon immediately following at the Knox Reformed Church.
