Cerone, Ethel J.

Niskayuna, New York - Ethel Jean Cerone, age 96, passed away suddenly on January 21, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 17,1925, the daughter of Leon & Jesse Tomlinson. She was married to John Cerone, Jr for 60 years before he
Passed in 2004. Ethel was a wonderful wife, mother and prayer warrior. She always held onto her faith in Jesus through every season in her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers. She is survived by her children Carol Hebert, Catherine Cerone, Linda Cerone, Susan Cerone & John Cerone III (Angela) and 16 Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, & 13 great-great grandchildren.
A special thank you to her daughter Carol for being by her side and caring for her through it all, for 18 years. In her passing, her loving granddaughter, Jessica Calarco, was with her and ushered her into heaven.

Funeral services will be private.


I have such fond memories of Sue. I just watched the video and it brought tears. Tears of gratitude for have known such a woman of faith. I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember her voice on the telephone when she would call the the Our Savior's church office. And her smile...... always a beautiful smile. God bless you all as you walk through her absence on earth, but rejoice that she is in heaven.

My heart-felt sorrow for those in the shadow of Aunt Susie\'s wake. There is no one like her. Her warmth, wisdom and unique perspective will be missed. My love and prayers are with you. I am very sorry for your loss.

Cathy…. My deepest condolences to you and your family on your mom's "going home". I remember her as a very precious lady ; a sweet and gentle spirit. She is now in the arms of her Savior where you one day will embrace her again . Rejoice in that fact as you hold memories of her close in your heart.
