George Andrew Ward

Voorheesville, N.Y - George Ward, 87 passed away at his home on February 18, 2017 after a long illness. He was the son of the late Lewis and Hattie (Robbins) Ward. He was self- employed for over 30 years in the siding and window business. George served in the NYS National Guard. He was a school bus driver for the Bethlehem School District and a former member of the Onesquethaw Vol. Fire Co. George was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a lifetime member of the Elsmere Rod & Gun Club. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his brother, Edwin Ward and his identical twin brother Fred Ward. Surviving is his beloved wife of 61 years, Geraldine (Smith) Ward of Voorheesville, NY; his daughter Sharon (Paul) Seney of Myrtle Beach, SC, son George (Darlene) Ward of Voorheesville, NY, daughter Sheila (Mark) Tryon of Voorheesville, NY: grandson George (Genevieve) Ward of Slingerlands, granddaughter Lauren Ward of Voorheesville, NY; estranged son Geoffrey (Kathy) Ward of Westerlo, NY and estranged grandson Justin Ward.
