J. Alice Hallenbeck (Sperbeck) J. Alice Hallenbeck, 92, of Voorheesville, died October 30, 2012. Alice was born in Liberty N.Y. on February 13, 1920. She was the daughter of the late George and Rose Cox. Alice was predeceased by her beloved husbands Russell Sperbeck and Amos Hallenbeck, her sister Margaret DeRose, and her brothers Richard, Ralph, and Ray Cox. Alice worked for Mesicks Department Store, D.A. Bennett, the Voorheesville School District, and Albany County Department of Public Works. She was a member of the First United Church of Voorheesville and a member and Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #1493. Survivors include her son David (Anita) Sperbeck and her daughter Diane (Bud) Deschenes of Voorheesville, N.Y., her stepchildren Joanne Lounsbury, Richard (Marie) Hallenbeck of Voorheesville, N.Y, and Amos (Debbie) Hallenbeck Jr. of Virginia Beach, V.A. Alice is also survived by her brother Robert Cox of Guilderland, N.Y, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Calling hours are on Thursday November 1st from 4pm to 7pm at Fredendall Funeral Home in Altamont N.Y. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 2nd, 2012 at Fredendall Funeral Home. Interment will be at Memory's Garden, Colonie.
