James H. Holcomb

Prattsville,NY- James H. Holcomb of Robinson Terrace Nursing Home, Stamford, NY and formally of Oneonta and Prattsville NY passed away on September 30,2011.Mr. Holcomb was born in the town of Merideth, NY on September 15,1917 the son of Ralph and Louesa Holcomb. Mr. Holcomb was predeceased by his wife Marion, his parents Ralph & Louesa Holcomb and his brother Arley. Mr. Holcomb was employed as a truck driver by McBride Transportation and J. A. CarmanTrucking Inc. until he retired in 1980. Mr. Holcomb is survived by his daughter Carol and son in law Skeet Constable of West Kill NY,his son Ronald and daughter in law Deb Holcomb of Slingerlands,NY, three grandsons, Michael Constable and his wife Connie of Glenmont NY,Brandon Holcomb of Albany, NY,Adam Holcomb of Charlotte,N.C., granddaughter,Brittney of Albany, NY and greatgranddaughters, Cassandra and McKenzie Constable of Glenmont, NY. He is also survived by his sister Clara Stewart of Delhi, NY,his brother Fred Holcomb and sister in law Phyllis Holcomb of Dunlap, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6,2011 at 11am at the West Kill Community Cemetery with Rev. Richard Lenz presiding.
