Kenneth C. Schermerhorn

Prattsville- Kenneth C. Schermerhorn, 87, died August 1, 2015. He was born in Scheneves, NY on March 27, 1928 the son of the late Charles and Edna (nee Rappleyea) Schermerhorn. Kenneth retired from the NYS Dept. of Transportation after 25 years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Ida (nee Post) Schermerhorn, his two daughters, Alveda (Joseph Sr.) Mattice of Prattsville, Diane (Dennis) Muthig of Grand Gorge; four grandchildren, Joseph (Roxanne) Mattice Jr., Janice (Craig) Cross, Joao (Linda) Paes, Michael (Julie) Paes; six great grandchildren, Josh Paes, Destiny Paes, Cody Mattice, Kyle Mattice, Brandan Cross, and Kaetlin Cross. He is predeceased by great granddaughter Brittany Paes. Calling hour will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 7-9PM at Decker Funeral Home 5312 State Rt. 23, Windham, NY. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Prattsville, NY
