Laurie (Mattice) Sulitka, 68, of Honey Brook died unexpectedly on November 3, 2023.

Born in Albany, NY she was the daughter of the late Richard A. and Shirley Ann Schiable Mattice and the wife of the late William Sulitka, who died in October 2016. Formerly Laurie Serfass, her ex-husband and friend was James Serfass,

Laurie’s love of animals led her to be a loyal supporter of the SPCA. She spent many years working for Weiler Corporation in Cresco, PA. She enjoyed calm days with her dog Bear, horses, auto racing, drawing, and painting. She was a solitaire aficionado. She was immensely proud of her sons and their careers in the fire service, Joshua a Washington State Helitack Wildland Firefighter, and Benjamin a Captain in the Philadelphia Fire Department.

She is survived by her two sons, Joshua Serfass of Olympia, WA and Benjamin Serfass and his wife, Mariel, of Downingtown, her two granddaughters, Lorelei and Adelina Serfass; 3 sisters, Bonnie Martell, Sally Townsend, and Faye Ridilla and one brother, Richard Mattice, and many nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne on Saturday November 18th, 2023 at 10AM.

Memorials in Laurie’s honor may be made to your local SPCA.

Funeral arrangments were entrusted to the care of Wentz Funeral Home Coatesville, PA and Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont NY.
