SHULTES, Marjorie L. 87 died Saturday April 18, 2026 at Kingsway Manor Nursing Center.
Loving wife, mother and Grammie; Margie loved everyone.
She was a graduate of BKW, and Mildred Elley in Albany. She worked for NYS for a brief time, then took a break to start her family. Then briefly scooping ice cream at 3-Farms Dairy, she then started driving school bus for BKW. After retiring 33 years later, she began substitute driving bus for Guilderland schools. She loved seeing all the kids and watching them grow and succeed. She was a life member of the Berne Reformed Church where all are family. Margie was also a Life member of the Berne Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary, and also the Foxenkill Grange.
Margie is survived by her children Vickie (Michael) Snyder, and Ron (Gabrielle) Shultes all of Berne. Two grand daughters Nicole (Scott) Carroll, and Brittney Shultes (boyfriend John). Two great-grandchildren Ella and Kase Carroll. And her brother-in-law Art Shultes, and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Albert) Tedeschi. She is also survived by many loving and kind nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years Raymond Shultes Jr., and her parents Daniel and Ada Lendrum, also her brothers Frederick (Jeanette) and Harold (Arlene) Lendrum.
A special mention should be made about her fun-loving friends Shirley, Peggy & Martha who always had time for each other, and a trip or two or three to Burger King in Guilderland, where they were treated like queens. And also special mention of the loving, expert care that she received from the staff of Kingsway.
Family and friends are invited to visit with Margie's family in the Berne Reformed Church at 11am - 1pm on Friday April 24. A funeral service will follow at 1pm. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Berne.
