Martha Longacker

East Berne - Martha Longacker, 89, died on Sunday January 31, 2010 at Albany Medical Center. Born on June 18, 1920 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Makary and Laura Kolakowski. She was a member of the Thompson's Lake Reformed Church where she served on the consistory in many positions. She worked as a nutritionist for the Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Albany County retiring in 1983. She was the matron of the UHAI Chapter # 803 Order of the Eastern Star in 1987. Martha is the mother of Lora Ricketts, Leonard (Linda) Richardson, Patricia (George) Sykala, Kenneth (Mary Badcock) Richardson and Georgia (Everett) Hallenbeck. She is also survived by her sister Stephanie Ayers; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband George M. Longacker on February 8, 2002. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday February 6, 2010 at the Thompson's Lake Reformed Church. Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the Fredendall Funeral Home, Altamont. A spring burial will take place in Thompson's Lake Cemetery.
