Mary Jean Healey

Mary Jean "Jean" Healy of Voorheesville, passed away on September 9, 2025, at age 90.

A Cortland University graduate and longtime physical education teacher in Columbia High School and high school sports referee in the Albany area, Jean also owned and operated the King's Krest restaurant in the Helderbergs for many years.

She cherished her garden, her orange cats, and lively discussions about sports. She was also a familiar face at the Saratoga Racetrack where she was a long time pari mutuel clerk. Jean will be fondly remembered by her many friends and neighbors.

A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date and shared with friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to a local animal shelter or humane society.
