Mary was born and raised in Richmondville, the daughter of Ray and Ruth (Hogeboom) Brooker. In her early years, Mary helped on the family farm by working in the hay fields, husking corn off the cob and cleaning up after dinner. Mary graduated from high-school in 1946, and she later married Len Mallory in 1949 at the Hensonville Parsonage. After they were married, they lived in East Jewett before moving to Hensonville where they owned and operated Mary's Restaurant. Len later converted the restaurant into a laundry mat, and Mary took care of the day-to-day operations. Mary enjoyed golfing and bowling with the ladies. Over the years, she won numerous trophies from the Ladies Invitational Tournaments, Ladies Golf Association Tournaments and Ladies Bowling League Tournaments. Mary lived a wonderful life and will be remembered by her family as a person who could never find fault in others, loved equally and unconditionally.
