Richard C. Habermann

May 24, 2010 Richard C. Habermann "Uncle Richie" 64, of Windham NY died on Sat. May 22,2010 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY. He was born on May 11,1946 the son of Raymond and Pauline Habermann in Jersey City, NJ. He is survived by his son Casey and daughter in law (Ashley),his sister Barbara Miller as well as many close friends and relatives. He was predeceased by ten siblings. Rich was a retired railroad conductor and brakeman having worked foe CSX Railroads at Selkirk,NY. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served his country during the Viet Nam War. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, the Grateful Dead, freedom and living life to the fullest. He was a great friend to the mountaintop community. Everyone who meet him loved him as he was a larger than life character who embraced life everyday. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Calling hours will be held at Decker Funeral Home ,Windham,NY on Tues. May 25,2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wed. May 26,2010 at Decker Funeral Home at 11:00am.
