Richard Scott Hempstead

Middleburgh- Richard S. Hempstead, 35, died suddenly on June 25, 2018. He was born on March 21, 1983 in Albany, NY the son of Gerald "Dick" and Linda Hempstead. Rich attend Middleburgh High School. He was employed with GE Turbine of Florida. Along with his parents, he is survived by his daughter Makynley; siblings Lauri (Robert) Motschmann, Carrie Unser and Tyrel Hempstead; his maternal grandmother Ethel McDermott; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Sherri, his paternal grandparents Gerald and Helen Hempstead; maternal grandfather Harold McDermott. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 10am-12pm with a service to follow at 12pm at Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 main St. Altamont, NY. Interment at Knox Cemetery.
