Robert E. Mangan

Robert E. Mangan, 95, died December 27, 2012, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Robert was one of the first U.S. draftees in WWII. He served from 1941-1945 and was discharged from the Army Air Corp with the rank of Tech. Sergeant. Mr. Mangan retired from General Electric. He formerly resided on Nash Road in Delanson. He is survived by his sister, Regina Mangan Rutland, Latham; and his brother, Thomas R. Mangan, (Irene O’Connell) Mangan, Hendersonville, NC, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Fredendall Funeral Home 199 Main St. Altamont on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1PM with interment to follow at Schenectady Memorial Park 566 Gifford’s Church Rd.
