Stella G. Pollard

Stella G. Pollard lifelong resident of Altamont, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Buckingham at Norwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood, New Jersey. She was 89. Born in Albany on November 20, 1924. She is the widow of Mr. Edward W. Pollard who passed away October 9, 2004. Mrs. Pollard worked in the area as a bookkeeper. She was a parishioner of St. Lucy/St. Bernedette Church in Altamont and a 50 plus year member of the Altamont Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her son, Michael E. Pollard, her daughter Suzanne Pollard, a daughter in law Maria W. Pollard and her grandchildren, Rachel L. Pollard and Daniel M. Pollard as well as several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at 3-6pm on Sunday, January 19 at Fredendall Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, Altamont. Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery at 9am on Monday, January 20, 2014 and a memorial mass will be conducted at 12 noon at St. Lucy/St. Bernedette Church, 122 Grand Street, Altamont.
