Pam, Brian, Penny, and Adam ~ I am so sorry for your loss. I considered Wayne a true friend, even though I hadn't seen him for many years. I sent him a couple of PMs on Facebook, begging him to come to our reunions. I have so many memories from St. John's, where he was an acolyte and I was in choir. When we "aged out" of Sunday school, your Mom made it possible for us to continue meeting---we thought we were so grown up with our coffee & donuts. One time, he hot-wired her car in the church's driveway--just because he could. He was a real sweetheart underneath that sarcastic exterior. He brought an armful of black-eyed Susans to the hospital when I had my appendix out in '69. (He thought it was funny that I held my incision, afraid it would open up if I laughed too hard--and then tried even harder to make me laugh! I was happy when he came back to BKW for our Senior year. He was "Kolenkov" in our Senior play. The things you remember... Rest in Peace, Wayne Alan. 🌻☕️💔
